Speak Out Committee

Portland Metro
2 to 4 hours a week (May through July)

Organized by survivors for survivors, Speak Out is a public event where survivors take the stage in the NW Portland 13th Ave Plaza to share their stories and hopes for the future. It serves as an opportunity for survivors to reclaim their stories and heal while spreading awareness of domestic and sexual violence in our community. Information about survivor resources are also distributed at the event, and trained advocates are present for anyone inspired to seek support. Last year was our first year, and 12 survivors shared their stories to an audience of 40+ people.

Join us in making this event a success by joining our planning committee. Committee roles include: marketing, partnerships, logistics, and volunteer coordination.
